Feeling blue at your local Farmer’s Market this time of a year is not a bad thing…  It’s berrylicious!!! :-)  With a simple “taste of summer” you are guaranteed to quench your thirst and satisfy your hunger!

Dairy free, with no added sugar, this blueberry concoction is amazingly sweet, full of antioxidants, fiber, and vitamin C.

So… kick back and indulge while we’re in the midst of berry season!
Blueberry Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 1/2 cups ice
  • 2 Tbsp raw almonds
  • 1 Tbsp ground flaxseeds
  • 1 Tbsp chia seeds
  • 1/4 cup almond milk (optional)

Blueberry Smoothie

Blend banana, blueberries and ice first to achieve creamy consistency.

Once smooth, add almonds, flaxseeds and chia seeds for a crunchy kick, then blend once more.
